Performance

The classic F-150 has access to four different powertrains for the 2025 model year, not counting the two for the Raptor variants. This includes three different variations of a V6 and the highly coveted 5.0-liter V8. This provides shoppers with different options for performance output and capabilities, keeping the F-150 competitive for both work and recreation. You can get it in rear- or four-wheel drive, and all of the engines come mated to a ten-speed automatic transmission.

Commute to work, take the kids to school, or run errands comfortably with the 2.7-liter EcoBoost turbocharged V6 that produces 325 hp and 400 lb-ft of torque. This V6 is a good option for daily drivers, given that you have up to 19 MPG in the city and 25 MPG on the highway. The 5.0-liter V8 delivers a robust 400 hp, 410 lb-ft of torque, and a fuel economy of 16 MPG in the city and 24 MPG on the highway.

For twin-turbocharged performance, the 3.5-liter EcoBoost turbocharged V6 makes 400 hp and 500 lb-ft of torque, with a fuel economy of up to 17 MPG in the city and 25 MPG on the highway. The 3.5-liter PowerBoost turbocharged V6 HEV is the most powerful non-Raptor powertrain, making 430 hp and 570 lb-ft of torque. This hybrid setup gets impressive fuel economy in four-wheel drive, topping out at 22 MPG in the city and 24 MPG on the highway.

Available package upgrades for sports-tuned suspension and off-road handling can improve handling or stability when venturing off-road. An optional electronic-locking rear differential can help with traction control and maintaining stability, while features like Hill Start Assist and Hill Descent Control work wonders for maneuvering around undulating terrain, especially with the available Trail Control with One-Pedal Drive. The 2025 F-150 also has multiple drive modes, including Normal, Eco, Sport, Tow/Haul, Slippery, Deep Snow/Sand, Mud/Rut, and Rock Crawl.

Capabilities

The different drive modes for the Ford F-150 aren't just there for show; they have utilitarian functionality as well, tying into the F-150's capabilities for work and recreation. Whether you're venturing off-road with friends and family for a getaway into the wilderness or you're hauling or towing heavy loads as part of your daily work schedule, the 2025 F-150 is designed with the capabilities to handle it all.

When it comes to towing, the 2.7-liter V6 can do up to 8,400 lbs, while enabling a payload capacity of 1,775 lbs. The 3.5-liter V6 Hybrid provides up to 11,200 lbs of towing and 1,750 lbs of payload, which is excellent if you do construction and need that extra capacity, or if you occasionally take vacations with campers or boats. The 5.0-liter V8 gives you equal amounts of performance and utility, topping out at 12,900 lbs of towing and 2,225 lbs of payload.

However, if you want the best that the 2025 F-150 has to offer, the 3.5-liter turbocharged V6 has some of the best specs in the light-duty segment, at 13,500 lbs of towing and 2,440 lbs of payload. The fully-boxed, high-strength steel frame provides the stability and reliability needed to achieve these impressive figures. With tie-down cleats and bed storage units, you can also customize how you use the cargo box for your payloads.

The 2025 F-150 is available in three cab designs: a Regular Cab, a SuperCab, and a SuperCrew Cab with four full doors. The availability of the 7.2-kW Pro-Power Onboard makes the F-150 a mobile generator, convenient for work site activities or if you need to power speakers for an outdoor event. Available PowerScope mirrors, upfitting switches, and running boards also add to the functionality of the F-150. Whether you're using the truck for work or adventure, it has great capabilities and an accessible design.

Lobo Package

The 2025 Ford F-150 introduces the aggressively styled and appropriately named Lobo Package, a new styling and performance-oriented package for the STX trim. The new offering follows Ford's introduction of the Lobo trim to the Ford Maverick, which focused on appealing to the tuner truck culture and drivers who want a high-performance pickup. The Lobo takes advantage of the F-150's already muscular specs and adds a few new features to spruce up the offerings, adding a nice tuner-performance alternative to off-road-focused trims like the Tremor.

The Lobo comes standard in a SuperCrew Cab, seating up to five passengers, and has the 5.0-liter V8. Standard with four-wheel drive, the Lobo is all about matching its aggressive style to high performance. When it comes to looks, the Lobo is heavy on street tuner aesthetics, with a 2-inch-lower profile accompanied by a multi-piece body kit. There is a unique upper and lower grille, with an illuminated light-bar, as well as black-accented exterior features for the hood, wheels, and dual-tip exhaust. 22-inch gloss-black wheels complete the menacing look.

Convenience

The F-150 is not just stylish and capable but also comes with comfort and convenience features, such as the full LED lighting array that makes it easy to maintain visibility on the road, morning, noon, or night. Power windows and available auto-dimming power-folding side mirrors with memory functionality make it easy to configure the truck the way you like, so you can easily see what's happening in your blind spots.

The memory functionality isn't just for the side mirrors; there is also the availability of a 10-way power front driver seat with lumbar support and driver memory settings, so you can configure your F-150 your way. The availability of a power-adjustable front passenger seat ensures that your co-pilot can modify their comfort for long journeys. While cloth seats are the standard upholstery for the entry-level trims, ActiveX upholstery and Recaro black leather are also available for those who prefer more luxurious or sporty seating materials.

Front and rear heated seats also make the F-150 convenient for cold mornings or chilly nights out, while ventilated seats can keep you dry on humid afternoons. The heated steering wheel adds a lot of extra comfort, while features like power locks, remote start, and push-button start simplify your drive. It's a nice bit of convenience for those who want to remove as much friction as possible from their daily drives.

Technology

A comfortable ride can take you to the next level when coupled with great technology. For the 2025 F-150, the cabin is brimming with amenities that will make your ride more productive, fun, engaging, and connected. This all starts with the Ford SYNC 4 infotainment system featuring enhanced voice recognition, which is standard across the entire trim lineup. This means you can take control of system commands using the hands-free, voice-activated systems, excellent for plotting your route, managing playlists, or making phone calls while on the go. Also, over-the-air updates keep the software current with the latest manufacturer rollouts.

Every 2025 F-150 comes standard with a 12-inch touchscreen and an accompanying digital driver display where you can see useful travel information. You get wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for phone projection, making it convenient to stream your favorite media. While a standard audio system is included, an available Bang & Olufsen audio system elevates the in-cabin experience. The FordPass Connect enables remote accessibility and Wi-Fi hotspot connectivity, so you can stay connected while on the go.

You can drive with confidence thanks to the standard inclusion of the Ford Co-Pilot360 safety suite. From lane centering and lane departure alerts to blind spot monitoring with cross-traffic alert, there are driver assistance features for nearly every type of traffic situation. Automatic emergency braking, front pedestrian detection, and built-in navigation make things safe and easy in the 2025 F-150. To sweeten the deal, this F-150 also offers Ford's hands-free driving tool, BlueCruise, enabling you to get to your destinations with minimal stress on your end.
